Playa Azul is the beach right in front of the condo. It’s very beautiful, but can also be dangerous due to rip currents. The town uses a flag warning system:

Flag Meaning
🚩 Red Water is dangerous — don’t go out any higher than your shins and children should avoid the water completely
⚠️ Yellow Strong swimmers only — still risky for anybody not knowledgeable about rip currents
✅ Green Generally safe for all — supervise children

For calmer waters, head to Luquillo Beach near the Kiosks. It’s ideal for families and those uncomfortable with ocean surf. The beach is shallow, warm, and monitored.

Bring cash for parking, and don’t leave valuables in the car.
